More about Caboclo eucalyptus Rapé
Caboclo Eucalipto comes from one of our favorite rapé makers. He makes it with the potent Sabia tobacco, tsunu ashes, and two additional herbs. This Rapé has a touch of eucalyptus that gives it its freshness. It also contains a local herb called alfavaca da mata or native alfavaca. This herb lowers fever, headaches and helps immunity. The locals also use it in herbal baths against magic and for energetic cleansing. Alfavaca da Mata also goes by the name Tipi which sounds more indigenous. This is a strong Shamanic Hapé Snuff that works on the higher chakras. It is a bit browner in colour than for instance the Yawanawa Rapés that are more ashy. The herbs give it some higher tones that takes the effect more up. Many times a bit more tobaccoish snuff is more earthy in flavour but also in feeling, the herbs lift this one up.
Caboclo culture
The Caboclo culture derives from the worker immigrants that mixed with the indigenous population and share a lot of knowledge with the indigenous. These workers came mostly from the Northeast of Brazil in the time of the rubber boom. Even in their land in the North East they were the poorer working class, a mixture between European labourers, African slaves and local indigenous people. With this they already brought a special popular culture with them that is very present in the North East of Brazil. A culture that manifests itself in music, writing, artworks and in their religions. Their religious expression is a mixture of the native culture, with Christianity and influences of indigenous animistic beliefs. From these mystical folk religions were born in Acre in the Amazon the Ayahuasca cults that took this cultural inheritance and mixed it with the medicines of the forest.
